Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah terdapat pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan kualitas hubungan antara atasan dan bawahan (leader-member exchange/LMX) terhadap kepuasan kerja. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri atas 294 orang karyawan yang bekerja di 4 (empat) perusahaan swasta yang beroperasi di Kota Bandung baik yang bergerak di bidang jasa maupun manufaktur. Jumlah hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 (dua) hipotesis dimana kedua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini didukung. Instrumen untuk menguji hipotesis-hipotesis tersebut terdiri atas The Leadership Profile, LMX-7, dan Minessota Satisfaction Questionnaire. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional dan kualitas leader-member exchange (LMX) berpengaruh secara positif terhadap kepuasan kerja.
