Abstract

This research aimed to test the relationship of adversity quotient to grade point average in the student of management in a last grade at Maranatha Christian University, Bandung. Data were collected by survey literature and questionnaire used. Questionnaires were distributed to 150 students of management, and 125 questionnaires were returned with yielding response rate 83,33%. From the analysis correlation, the study found that AQ and grade point average were has correlation, hypotheses was supported. Coefficient correlation is 0.332 with the significant 0000. And adversity quotient students had a mean 130.192, it showed that someone usually good in passed troubles life while everything going smooth. Low correlation between AQ and IPK, showed the implication that students need a specific training before they enter the college. A specific training explains component of dimensions AQ (Control, Origin, Ownership, Reach, and Endurance) and skills of AQ consists LEAD (Listen, Explore, Analyze, dan Do) and STOP (Distraction and Repeat framed), can give an important contribution to increase grade point average of the students.
