Abstract
Many industries with same product are competing to give the best services for customer needs and satisfaction. Regarding this the company needs to maintain the quality and produce the product in the right time. In order the product can be finished in the right time, the company needs to apply scheduling method which can support goods production process. Based on above case, scheduling process implementation is needed to get more effectiveness in the production process activity while still maintaining and setting priority to the quality of the product. This observation is based on Campbell Dudek and Smith (CDS) Method because the production process used by the company has more than two series machines. Production scheduling adopted by the company is using the order of Cotton, PLTC 150cm, PLTC 180cm, 240cm PLTC, Denim, TC, Cotton Twill, Cotton Polly with the amount of time 1950.2 hours. While according to the results of the calculation using CDS, production scheduling sequence that gives the smallest amount of time is Cotton Twill, Denim, Polly Cotton, TC, PLTC 180cm, 240cm PLTC, Cotton, 150cm or Denim PLTC, TC, Cotton Twill, Polly Cotton, 180cm PLTC , PLTC 240cm, Cotton, PLTC 150cm with a time of 1861.5 hours. This conclude that using CDS Method can give more efficiency in terms of time with amount of 88.7 hours, where there will be no lateness in 4 jobs.
