Abstract
The importance of education in early childhood, as
a basis for children's competence and success. This is a concern
for counseling activities, starting from knowing the child's
character. If this recognition is known, the potential for child
development will be better and develop optimally. The teacher
plays a role not only as a teacher but also as an educator. As an
educator, the characteristics of students are an important
factor that must be known by the teacher so that the
knowledge they teach can be absorbed by students with the
maximum and the potential of students can develop optimally.
Counseling Introduction of Student Characteristics for BPPK
Kindergarten and Elementary School Teachers is expected to
be applied by teachers to their students. The method used in
this activity is service learning and measurement of the success
of teachers' understanding of extension activities is carried out
using a questionnaire that is filled out by participants after
participating in the activity. The results of the questionnaire
show 70% of the teacher answered correctly. This shows that
teachers have an understanding of the introduction of student
characteristics and the role of the teacher in facilitating
student intrinsic motivation to develop optimally.
