Abstract

Implementation of DOTS strategy in the clinic one of them aimed at reducing morbidity and break the chains of transmission. Indonesia ranked third incidence of TB cases. In general, this study aims were to determine the implementation effort, constraints, benefits and expectations in implementing the DOTS program in 40 health centers that are within the scope coaching Subang District Health Office Department. Researchers using qualitative methods, data collection techniques in-depth interviews to Chief Officer and P2TB Health Center, Participation Observation Corner of DOTS, as well as Focus Group Discussion cadre of TB, the research instrument in the form of a tape recorder and camera, a population of 40 health centers, sampling technique cluster random sampling, the number of sample are 10 health centers, represented by 10 chief officer and 10 P2TB officers health centers. From the results of research, it was an effort, constraints, benefits and expectations of the implementation of DOTS strategy in Subang Health Centres. The conclussion of this experiment are the efforts taken in 10 health centers was enough, with some constraints such as lack of laboratory infrastructure, human resources, cross-sectoral cooperation, medication adherence, the role and power PMO, economic factors and public education, delays in drug distribution, difficulties recording and reporting of patient moving and relocation. The expectation are to reach cross-sectoral communication, seeking completeness lab infrastructure, empowerment of each village cadres to counseling and encompass community.
