Abstract
Leadership has an important and strategic role in achieving the vision, mission, and goals as well as organizational performance. Past research has explained the various types of leadership that can improve individual and organizational performance. Path-Goal Theory (House, 1974). theory is one that offers the type of effective leadership. This study uses a type of leadership from the Path-Goal Theory, the supportive leadership style. The study was conducted on 55 employees cleaning service at Maranatha Christian University. The test results with simple regression shows that supportive leadership style and a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Supportive leadership style was also identified as the best predictor of job satisfaction in terms of creating a working atmosphere and create a good relationship with your boss or supervisor. This study provides important managerial implications for organizations.
