Abstract
This research is conducted to know whether the employee’s compensation has a significant and positive effect on employee’s work performance. There are two variables in this research, which is compensation as the independent variable and work performance as the dependent variable. This study uses descriptive method with case study approach. Data were collected from questionnaire that was distributed to the research participants and then processed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test with skewness curve. Furthermore, the data were analyzed with parametric statistical method by using simple linear regression analysis and simple correlation analysis. Analysis of coefficient of determination can show how much the independent variable can effect the dependent variable. Conclusions were drawn from hypothesis proposed using the T-test statistic . Findings showed that compensations only effect 10.2% of the job performance while the other 89.9% are effected by other variables that are not measured in this study. From this study, it can be concluded that employee’s compensation does not affect work performance significantly.
