Abstract

The education as an effort which is conducted comprehensively and systematically, will enliven the studying environment and education process so that the student are actively developing their potency to have the spiritual power, personality, intelligence and self development. Education is also recognized as a partial effort of increasing the welfare level of human life. To enliven the purpose and motivation of the education, education administration is needed to support it. Some intellectuals prefer using the education management to education administration. In this research, the writer chose the term of education administration since the writer considered that the management is part of the administration. Education administration is administration with wider scope which involves various activities which all are directed for the achievement of education purpose. Through research which used rational method and literature survey technique (reading and reviewing various sources which are related with education administration concept), it can be concluded that education and education administration concept couldn’t be separated one from another. In every education process, there will be a need of education administration. Education done without good and reliable education administration will not achieve its glorious purposes, which is the human welfare.
