Abstract
序論 それぞれの言語は特色がある。インドネシア語と日本語でも特色がある。例えば、インドネシア語でのmau とinginの使用である。Mau とinginの意味は似ているので、mau とinginを使用するときに、よく間違いをしている。日本語では、inginを表すときに、「～たい」の形を使って、mauを表すときに、「～ようと」の形を使う。「～たい」という形は「希望を表す表現形式である」。「～ようと」という形は「何らかの決意をした時点における意志の表明である」と坂田と倉持(1980: 30&100)が述べている。 日本語では「～たい」は願望というモダリティに含むが、「～ようと」は意志というモダリティに含む。モダリティというのは「現実との関わりにおける、発話時の話し手の立場からした、言表事態に対する把握のし方、および、それらについての話し手の発話・伝達的態度のあり方の表し分けに関わる文法表現である。」と仁田(1991: 18)が述べている。 この研究では日本語における「～ようと」という意志を表すモダリティのことについてのことである。意志を表すモダリティは動詞の「～ようと思う」、「～ようとする」、「～ようと＋他の動詞」という形を使う。この研究で小説とインターネットのデータを使い、「～ようと」という意志を表すモダリティのことを理解することができるのを期待する。
