Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai sebuah artikel berita tentang Donald Trump yang ingin memberhentikan program yang dimiliki oleh Michelle Obama. Berita ini dipublikasikan pada tanggal 1 Mei 2017 di salah satu website bernama CNN. Teori yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah teori Analisis Wacana Kritis dari van Dijk mengenai representasi. Dalam teori ini terdapat tiga tahap, yaitu tahap makro, meso, dan mikro. Akan tetapi, skripsi ini hanya akan membahas mengenai tahap mikro, yang terdiri dari analisis macrostructures, microstructures dan superstructures. Alat-alat yang digunakan dalam analisis microstructures adalah pilihan kata, konjungsi, serta tingkat kekhususan dan kelengkapan. Dari analisis tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa penulis menggambarkan Donald Trump secara negatif sedangkan Michelle Obama beserta programnya digambarkan secara positif.
