Abstract
Air kotor adalah salah satu mediator terjadinya berbagai penyakit yang disebabkan oleh mikroorganisme atau zat kimia yang terpapar saat beraktifitas dengan air. Sehingga menyebabkan berbagai macam penyakit infeksi meliputi sistem pencernaan, sistem penrnafasan, dan sistem saluran kemih seperti tifoid, diare, sistitis, demam yang sering disebabkan oleh bakteri coliform Penyakit ini biasa didapat dengan cara tertelan air, terhirup kabut atau uap, atau kontak dengan air, contoh sungai, danau, laut. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui jenis bakteri pada air anak sungai Cikapayang di sekitar kantor Pemerintah Kota di Bandung Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sampling air kemudian, isolasi bakteri coliform dengan metode Koch dan diidentifikasi pada penelitian ini didapatkan adanya bakteri coliform yaitu Escherichia coli dan Shigella dysentriae pada air anak sungai Cikapayang. Bakteri coliform yang ditemukan pada air anak sungai Cikapayang, meningkatkan risiko terjadinya berbagai macam penyakit infeksi terutama saluran pencernaan, saluran pernafasan, dan saluran kemih sehingga menimbulkan penyakit sebaiknya diberi larangan untuk beraktivitas di tempat tersebut.
