Abstract
Indonesia has many natural resources, Indonesia is known as an archipelagic nation, so most of the territorial in Indonesia is ocean. The most resource in the ocean is fishery. Exports of fish in Indonesia occupy one of the largest contributors of foreign exchange in Indoneisa. Many foreign investors also want to engage in fishing activities in Indonesia. Government need to regulate foreign investmenet in Indonesia . The author uses research methods to analyze the normative juridical regulations relating to investment in Indonesia regarding the foreign investment in the fishery. Fishing in Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone (ZEEI) is allowed for foreign investment companies, but in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Presidential Regulation, Number 36 Year 2012 Regarding list of Line of Business Conditionally Open and Closed for Investment in Indonesia, it is permitted only for certain areas in accordance with the Rules of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister No. PER12/MEN/2009 On Fishing Enterprises.
