Abstract

Increasing the business world, a company must be able to survive and thrive in the long term. One way is to increase sales. Sales activity is very important because it is the company's activities are directly related to the realization of revenue supporting the company's survival. Sales activities are in need of control. People who can control the sales activity is the controller. The function of the controller in controlling the sale include planning, controlling, reporting, accounting and other key responsibilities. Controllers generally plays a role in controlling sales to support the sales effectiveness. In preparing this paper, the authors do research at PT. P S. H1 Makartitama Lampung, which is engaged in the sale of sago / tapioca. These data are used, among other sales budget and sales realization during the year 2008 until the year 2009, and sales data for the year 2008 until the year 2009. Data gathering process conducted by interview, observation and spreading questioner to thirty respondents. Then data obtained in the analysis and was taken to a conclusion. In PT. P S. H1 Makartitama controller is good enough qualifications and functions of the controller is functioning effectively. Sales targets have been achieved in accordance with budgeted, even exceeding the budget. In addition, higher sales volumes at PT. P S. H1 Makartitama has been realized properly. However, PT. P S. H1 Makartitama still has a weakness that is less able to perform reporting functions and other primary responsibility well. It is expected that the analysis carried out the author, can help improve these weaknesses.
