Abstract
Being a parent, though expected by many couples, is not an easy task, especially to parents of autistic children. With a very typical and complex symptom, autistic child care drained so many resources from parents such as, energy, emotion, attention, and finance. Since parents observe symptoms that appears from their child, hear the diagnosis, mixed reaction from parents can emerges. Understanding parents reaction will provide opportunities for the provision of appropriate support for them. In general, parents reactions can be grouped into three major phases, namley Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Phase> Within each of the major phrases, there are specific phase. Within the Pirmary phase there is Shock, Dineal, Grief and Depression phare. While, there is Ambivalence, Guilt, Shame and Embarrasment Phase in Secondary Phase. Furthermore, in the TErtiary Phase, there is Bargaining, Adaptation and Recognition. Acceptance and Adjustment Phase. Design of the study is made in qualitative methods, using interview technique to retrieve data. Data obtained will be processed using interview techniques to retrieve data. Data obtained will be processed using coding techniques, to obtain a story about the parents of autistic children.
