Abstract

A lot of factors which can be considered for management to determine how much the dividend payment (dividend payout ratio); two of them are liquidity and profitability level. To measure the liquidity of a company, there are some ratios that can be used such as CR (current ratio). On the other hand, to measure the profitability of a company, ROE (Return On Equity) and EPS (Earnings Per Share) can be used. The objective of this research is to know the influence of Current Ratio (CR), Return on Equity (ROE), and Earnings Per Share (EPS) on Dividend Payout Ratio (DER) both simultaneously or in partially. This research uses a hypothetical test method, particularly causal or cause and effect hyphotetical test; the hyphotetical relationship that a variable may cause changes in other variables. The financial data was gathered from entities in LQ45 for a period of 2005-2008. The result of this research both simulaneously and partially shows that Current Ratio, Return on Equity, and Earnings Per Share do not have significant influences on Dividend Payout Ratio.
