Abstract

Breakfast is important for everybody to get best performance for their activities. However there are still many who do not realize the importance of starting a day with breakfast. Breakfast provides starting energy, especially glucose for the brain. In this article we describe the benefits of breakfast, what time and what kind of food is best for breakfast. There is a study in America which reports that breakfast keeps teenager slim while another study reports the correlation between increasing blood glucose and increasing short term memory. The conclusion is breakfast can improve short term memory and keeps body weight stable. It is suggested to have breakfast regularly, 30 minutes before specific activities and to chew properly, choose carbohydrates with low or moderate Glycemic Index.
