Abstract
This research tried to identify the antecedents and consequences of employee engagement in organization. Employee engagement (EE) devided in two dimension: job engagement (JE), and organization engagement (OE). JE and OE were tested as mediating variables. Data were collected through questiionnaires to 164 employees of banking industry in Bandung and Jakarta. The results of this research showed that the two dimensions of EE have different meaning. Organizational support and organization commitment significantly acted as antecedents of JE and OE. Meanwhile, job characteristics, reward, management support and procedural justice have not found as antecedents of JE and OE. Employee engagement found correlated with organizational commitment, intention to leave, organizational citizenship behavior organization (OCBO), organizational citizenship behavior individual (OCBI), and job satisfaction. As the conclution, employee engagement has found partially mediating factors of antecedents and consequences of employee engagement.
