Abstract
日本語だけではなく、どの言語でも意味が似ている言葉がたくさんある、例えば、「美しい」と「綺麗」である。ニュアンスが違っても、両方は見かけのいいものであることを意味するが、ニュアンスや使い方が違う。そういう言葉は類義語という。類義語というのは、音韻論的に違いがあっても、同じ意味や似ているニュアンスを持てば、その言葉は類義語だと言えると辻村（1996:307）が説明している。 全体の日本語の文法の中で、筆者にとって特に興味深いのは形式名詞の「たびに」、「ごとに」、「につけ」の使い分けである。インドネシア語に訳せば、一つの単語、「setiap」となる。これについて日本語学習者はよく混乱してしまい、正しく日本語が話せなくなる場合もたまにある。 なお、この研究では具体的に「たびに」「ごとに」「につけ」の違いや使い分けを統語論と意味論的に分析する。研究方法は「置換」である。これは、「たびに」や「ごとに」、または「につけ」が入っている文章をほかの二つの言葉に置き換え、文法や意味的に合っているかどうかを調べる方法である。
