Abstract
Tugas akhir ini membahas bagaimana Donald Trump merepresentasikan Amerika Serikat secara positif dalam pidato yang disampaikan pada kunjungan kepresidenannya yang pertama di Saudi Arabia. Pidato tersebut disampaikan pada hari Minggu, 21 Mei 2017 dalam Arab Islamic American Summit yang dihadiri oleh para pemimpin negara Muslim seluruh dunia. Teori yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini adalah teori van Dijk dengan menanalisis micro level, yang terdiri dari analisis macrostructure, microstructure dan superstructure. Dari analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dalam pidatonya, Trump merepresentasikan Amerika secara positif. Trump mengajak Amerika dan para pemimpin dari negara lain untuk bekerjasama melakukan beberapa cara untuk menghadapi ancaman dari ISIS atau ekstrimisme dan terorisme yang ada untuk mencapai satu kebaikan bersama.
