Abstract

Global warming is a natural phenomenon that occurs as a result of increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere caused by human activities. In designing a board game, the combination of several elements must be designed carefully because apart from having a focus on being able to display the aesthetics of the board game, the design must be able to help players identify the characters and asset parts of the game. In this research, the method will be applied to qualitative research by conducting research from several game design articles, design and game psychology articles, and so on. Of course, by studying articles and several cases. The results of the research that has been carried out in the article will be presented again using the narrative analysis method. In the results of this research, the design of the Generate game will be the main discussion, the design will be discussed starting from the game design itself to several alternative designs that could be applied to this game. Start with the lowest cost scenario to use the lowest carbon emissions. This provides a new conclusion, that apart from developing due to aesthetic needs, design also develops due to developments in technology and the times. This article concludes that the Generate board game has a fairly capable game system, but not the design. Some design explorations that can be carried out include, there is a change in assets from ordinary board games that use ordinary written cards and numbers as part of the game, which can be converted into 3D assets. With an attractive design, it is hoped that many people will be interested in the game so that the renewable energy campaign implied in this game can be conveyed well.
