Abstract
Dalam tugas akhir yang berjudul Antasari Azhar’s Use of Non-Observance of the Gricean Maxims to Reveal His Claim of the Conspiracy in His Murder Accusation Case ini, saya membahas pelanggaran bidal yang merupakan salah satu kajian Pragmatik. Saya menggunakan teori pelanggaran bidal untuk menganalisis acara bincang-bincang antara Zilvia Iskandar dan Antasari Azhar pada tanggal 25 Januari 2017. Teori pelanggaran bidal yang saya gunakan dalam tugas akhir ini adalah gagasan dari Herbert Paul Grice. Menurut Grice, pelanggaran bidal dikategorikan dalam lima jenis, yaitu: flouting a maxim, violating a maxim, opting out of a maxim, infringing a maxim dan suspending a maxim. Salah satu temuan yang saya peroleh dari analisis tersebut adalah Antasari Azhar sering melakukan flouting the maxim of manner dan flouting the maxim of quantity. Hal ini terjadi karena flouting the maxim of manner dan flouting the maxim of quantity adalah cara yang paling efektif bagi Antasari Azhar untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang diajukan dengan memberi detil lebih lanjut untuk menyakinkan para pendengar bahwa Antasari Azhar tidak bersalah dalam kasus pembunuhan Nasrudin Zulkarnaen.
