Abstract
Clothing is one of the basic human needs, it is always inherent in all of their activities. The existence of clothing has undergone a very rapid development. If at first time clothing has served as a basic necessity as stated by Abraham Maslow at needs level (clothing, food, board), more functioning as body coverage and to protect the body from the weather. In its development, the clothing is not just to cover the body or to avoid the cold and heat, but also take the aesthetic factor into consideration. This condition encourages the growth of textile industries, convections and so on. Appearance is something important for women, so they are willing to spend huge sum of money for a beautiful appearance, pretty and charming. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same opportunity to have a new trendy clothes because of their limited funds. Based on this condition the authors conducting a training for the women who wants to look trendy, but do not have the funds to make their own clothes. Usually for someone to be able to make their own clothes, they should have the skill to make a pattern and use sewing machines, but this training did not require a sewing machine. If they are diligent in doing this, this activity can also bring additional incomes. The activity was done in Cimahi Elementary School, Sukagalih District and also at YBPK school, which involved kindergarten up to high school teachers. The response we got from this activity is very positive. The participants were enthusiastic, they can also do some mixing and matched the clothes they made, especially when they tried their own creation. So, through this training the women can appear to be trendier, it can be more efficient and even can increase their incomes. Men can also take participation in this training, it is also suitable for women wearing veils.
