Abstract

Perataan laba dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam usaha untuk menghindari asimetri informasi dan menjadi media untuk menilai kinerja manajemen suatu perusahaan.Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi praktik perataan laba diantaranya ukuran perusahaan (size), debt to equity ratio (DER) dan net profit margin (NPM). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan-perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor makanan minuman dan sub sektor farmasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama tahun 2013-2015. Banyaknya sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 22 perusahaan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut adalah analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa ukuran perusahaan (size) dan net profit margin (NPM) berpengaruh terhadap praktik perataan laba sedangkan debt to equity ratio (DER) tidak berpengaruh terhadap praktik perataan laba.
