Abstract

Proses pemotongan kayu manual merupakan kegiatan yang cukup sulit, karena membutuhkan tenaga manusia yang besar dan waktu yang relatif lama. Melihat masalah tersebut dan dengan tujuan untuk memudahkan proses pemotongan kayu yang biasanya dilakukan secara manual, maka Tugas Akhir ini merancang purwarupa mesin pemotong kayu otomatis. Alat ini menggunakan Arduino Uno yang dilengkapi oleh mikrokontroler ATMega 328, 4 buah sensor infra merah sebagai input untuk mendeteksi kayu, 1 buah motor DC 6V sebagai conveyor, 1 buah motor DC 3V sebagai gergaji dan 1 buah motor servo sebagai lengan mesin.
