Abstract
Music video is one of the media commonly used by music record label to market a music performer. As a designed object, music video is laden with various visual to represent the performer(s) to public. Women depicted in this medium are often shown in sexualized manner, as supporting act for a male performer or as part of women's performance. This essay will focus on girl bands who influence young women. The sexualization manner for visual produces certain corosive consequences toward audience. This essay will analyze the impact of visual in overall Pussycat Dolls' and AKB 48 music video according to popular culture, media psychology and feminism theories.
