Abstract
The main target of this research is to examines influence of emotional intelligence on work performance among college students in four best university of Bandung city, which are Bandung Institute of Technology, Padjajaran University, Parahyangan Catholic University, and Maranatha Christian University. Emotional intelligence was operational with 4 subscales of Emotional Maturity Assessment (Martin, 2005), including emotional awareness, acceptance, affection, and affirmation. A total 250 subjects completed the questionnaires and only 244 can be used. The outliers, validity, and reliability tests were conducted before hypotheses testing. The linier regression multiple analysis was used to examine the four hypotheses. The results show that only emotional acceptance were supported and three other hypotheses were rejected. The results suggest that emotional acceptance positively effect on work performance among college students. The implications of these findings were discussed and suggestions for the future research were advanced.
