Abstract
Strength of the external environment are rapidly changing and uncertain (turbulence) that affect the capability of SMEs in maintaining its market position. The implication, it is not easy for SMEs to achieve superior performance (superior performance). Disadvantaged SMEs maintain an existence in a more environment caused by the gap between internal strengths with external threats. This paper aims to describe the phenomenon of empowerment of SMEs in improving the welfare of the public face of global competition and competitive strategy perspective approach marketing strategy, we can rearrange the marketing srategi SMEs, with conceptual methods descriptive study approach SWOT analysis. Some of the strategies that should be of concern to create a competitive advantage, namely: situation analysis of environmental and opportunities of marketing, grow a healthy business climate conducive to the development of SMEs, improving access to productive resources by providing incentives and support systems to improve service quality of financial institutions, development of entrepreneurship and SMEs excellence competitive, strengthening support for the development of SMEs in the districts /cities through consolidation, as well as human resource development and information systems.
