Abstract
Globalisation era brings companies into the higher level of competition which increasing between the same kind of company or evenwith the other kind. A company can be categorized into a good company if theycan hold out from the competition with showing an increasing condition and financial performance fromyear to year. In this research, writer is interested to analysed financial report to measure financial performance using analysing tool of financial ratio between the liquidity ratio activity ratio, solvability ratio, profitability ratio, and predicting company bankruptcy using the analysing tool from the ALTMAN model (z-score). The research object which choosen by writer is PT Bumi Resources Tbk from 2005 – 2005 period. This company is majoring in metal material and natural material mining, which is an open company that belongs to the Bakrie’s family, which had registered their stock in Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). In this research, writer used descriptive analyse method. The outcome of this research showed that the financial performance along the three periods from the ratio side is not good, the activityratio is good, the solvability ratio is not good, the profitability ratio is good, in mean time the condition of the company is placed in the grey area.
