Abstract
Salah satu komplikasi Diabetes Mellitus adalah nefropati diabetik, yang selanjutnya dapat berkembang menjadi GGT yang meningkat dari tahun ketahun. Salah satu faktor terjadinya nefropati diabetik disebabkan oleh adanya hiperfiltrasi dini glomerulus yang diikuti dengan destruksi ginjal, glikosilasi protein abnormal, hiperperfusi kapiler-kapiler glomerulus dan pertambahan kapiler-kapiler glomerulus. Komplikasi nefropati diabetik diatasi dengan memperhatikan kadar gula darah, diet, olahraga teratur, serta pengobatan dini.
