Abstract
Economic conditions in a situation of openness such as now, the business often faces the situation of high uncertainty in the management of the company. Thus, when companies want to keep the family survives and grows in the midst of strict competition; the company's managers are required to always operate efficiently. The author conducted research on the store building materials Cahaya Logam, which is one of the family businesses. In investing, every attempt will be generally company extent that can be developed in accordance with the objectives of the company to get a return that is as big for the company's viability. The decision making process for investing is a process that is quite long, difficult and complex. So that requires a fully cooked, including the assessment is one of the various investment proposals in order to obtain a description of the realization of the plan, the need to create a budget. One of the budget analyses is Capital Budgeting. Capital Budgeting by using some techniques that are used as a tool to obtain quantitative and qualitative information on the alternatives proposed, among others; Payback Period (PP), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Profitability Index (PI). With this information companies can be expected to take decisions to improve company profits. On the basis of this research and the author present in the title essay "The Role of Capital Budgeting in Decision-making for Truck Purchase or Change Location Business."
