Abstract
All roads lead to Rome; indeed there are many ways that can be done to improve profitability of a company. One of the alternatives that implied here are how a product is developed, how is the branding done, the pricing and the promotion of the product which can affect product sales level thus increasing profit. This paper studies how local product commonly produced and marketed, and how important is for innovation to be applicated to be a standard mindset held by each business people in Indonesia. This paper use qualitative method, examining actual condition of how a local product being developed and examining various successful methods that can be used in developing a product to a promising one. Hopefully this paper can give optimistics view of how local product can withstand local, regional and even global competition and even flourish to be a successful and profitable one and become the pride of Indonesia.
