Abstract

Business model innovation is obviously needed especially in a turbulent business environment. Firms usually succeed in their first business model but fail to sustain it. Then firms should innovate their business model. Firms usually have some obstacles to innovate their business model. Family business as a kind of business organization may offer some illumination on it. A qualitative case study research was conducted to reveal how organizational culture could serve as antecedents to business model innovation process in a knowledge intensive industry. This research describe how a family business innovate their business model and gave some implications that are relevant to general business practices.
