Abstract
Development in technology and information era has impact on changing the way companies in doing business and change behavior, consumer preferences and demands. The key to success for the company to grow well is the human resources, as the most important investment for the company. Compensation is important in the management of human resources. Compensation package would be effective to be used as a tool of control. If it successful, it can motivate employees. In preparing this thesis, the object research is PT. Asia Paramita Indah Bandung, which is engaged in distribution sales. Data collected through field research and library research. Field research was conducted through direct interviews with the manager and questionnaires. While the library research conducted by studying literature and books related to the research. In this study, the number of samples used were 30 respondents. Based on the results of qualitative analysis, it’s concluded that employee perceptions of compensation system that has implemented the company is positive. Validity and reliability of test results for variable compensation and motivation may be declared valid and reliable because the values obtained cronbach alpha (a) is above rtabel (0.5). From the results of statistical analysis using Spearman rank correlation coefficient analysis, it can be obtained that the result of Spearman rank is +0.742. This figure shows that the relationship between the compensation system and motivation of employees PT. Asia Paramita Indah Bandung has a direct relationship and determination coefficient amounted to 55.06%. That mean the amount of 55.06% from the change in variable Y (job motivation) can be explained by variable X (employee perceptions of compensation system), and the rest equal to 44.94% explained by other variables.
