Abstract
This study aims to see the effect of hardiness training on
reducing the degree of work stress on nurses at the TNI AU Hospital.
The measuring instrument used is the ENSS (Expanded The Nursing
Stress Scale) questionnaire (French, et. Al., 2000). Respondents in
this study were 26 nurses, divided into 13 experimental group and
13 control group. The data obtained in this study were analyzed
using quantitative methods, namely using the Wilcoxon test and the
Mann Whitney test. The results showed that there was a significant
difference between the experimental group and the control group after
being given a hardiness training program. Theoretical suggestions for
further research is to conduct further research by adding alternative
interventions, namely stress coping and work family conflict.
