Abstract

Tan Joen Liong was an important figure in the Dutch colonial period. He was the last Chinese Captain in Bandung who served as an officer for 25 years (1888-1917). On his tomb which is located in the Cikadut cemetery is written Kapitein Titulair Der Chineezen. The position was obtained after he died on August 23, 1917. The glory of his life is inversely proportional to the remaining tombs.
