Abstract

"One Belt One Road" is an overseas policy of the Chinese government to expand its influence in the current era of globalization, an ambitious project in terms of infrastructure financing in countries that are indeed willing to receive assistance from China. The project is initiated in 2013 by The current Chinese President Xi Jinping. This project is initiated by borrowing thought ideas from the Silk Road in ancient China, which is then applied to modern times. With the theme "Economic Silk Road" and "Maritime Axis of the 21st Century", the Chinese government then forms the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to finance the construction of the infrastructure. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank itself consists of countries from Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and Africa. Indonesia also becomes one of the countries involved in this "One Belt One Road" project. In this cooperation, Indonesia can actually benefit from the initiated project of China, one of which is the need of many human resources who master Mandarin. This research is written to find out about the influence of "One Belt One Road" to learning Mandarin in Indonesia.
