Abstract

Developed from traditional tool called “gawangan” which commonly used to support cloth during the wax application process on manual hand-drawn batik, “Porta- bition” is a multifunctional portable furniture with key features for: 1) cloth display, to showcase batik cloth with 2 different height features, 2) handlebar and bench for batik writing demo, and 3) closed storage area with key features, 4) a low base or table to spread the fabric in front of a prospective buyer.
