Abstract

This work features various fashion illustrations combine traditional Indonesian hand woven textiles. Woven has always been seen as a textile material that is difficult to use as daily wear fashion material. Through these illustrations, designer shows that woven textile material can be used in daily wear fashion product but with a processing method that is suitable for the type of woven. Woven textiles, especially traditional woven have various types of making methods with a scale of difficulty level from easy (can be produced in a large number of quantity in a short time) to difficult ones such as ikat woven which takes months to produce 1 fabric. For the mass production woven type can be used as ready to wear fashion products. Therefore, for woven which difficult to make and requires special treatment is more suitable to be processed as haute couture and made to measure fashion products. The woven material was applied in the illustration are various from Aceh to Papua.
