Abstract

Made by traditional Mendong Community in West Java, Tikar Mendong (Mendong Mat) become a series of container that framed by derivative square. Square usually a representative of modern form because it’s simple and clear. A traditional material that framed by modern form is intended that modern life should preserve traditional life and continue to develop new creations even though in our daily goods.
