Abstract
The Kawung motif is oval in form, inspired by a palm tree (pohon aren) whose fruit we know as ‘kolang-kaling’. The palm tree philosophy of leaves, stems, sap and fruit is very useful for humans. This implies that humans can be useful to anyone in this life. This implies hope that anyone who uses this ‘kawung’ motif can become a good human being, which always makes his life meaningful for the life around him. That is what is called The Soul of ‘Kawung’, an expression for humans who always try to be meaningful to the universe.
