Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh struktur modal (Debt Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio) terhadap profitabilitas (Return on Equity) secara parsial maupun simultan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah perusahaan pertambangan yang telah terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dan telah menyampaikan laporan keuangan secara lengkap selama periode 2015-2017. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa Debt Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio tidak berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap Return on Equity. Secara parsial, Debt Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio juga tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Return on Equity. Secara keseluruhan, Debt Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio hanya mampu menjelaskan perubahan Return on Equity pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2015-2017 sebesar 6,8% sedangkan sisanya 93,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lainnya yang tidak diteliti.
