Obesity is a condition of abnormal body weight resultingfrom an accumulation of extra adipose tissue, generally in response to a state ofpositive energy balance that occurs when energy intake exceeds energy expenditure. In addition, the presence of obesity needs to be regarded in the context of other riskfactors and comorbidities. Various herbs are used in curbing obesity like Aloe Vera, Coconut oil, Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), Green Tea (Camellia sinensis), Red pepper, (Capsicum), Ephedra, Cassia Senna, Caffeine, Banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa Linn. Leaves), and Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk, var. Tomentosa Schum.
