Abstract

The applications of information technology in daily life have created a digital society. As a member of digital society, each of us should be adaptive to technology changes. Computational thinking becomes an essensial skill for everyone in the digital era. Since 2005, Bebras Community has an initiative to promote computational thinking among school students through a challenge anually. In 2016, for the first time Indonesia participated as a Bebras observer by organizing a national Bebras challenge for school students. There were 1500 students engaged in the challenge. Faculty of Information Technology became a Bebras partner by performing teacher workshop and Bebras challenge in Bandung in 2016. The workshop was attended by 18 teacher, while the challenge was followed by 162 school students. Some of the students had achieved top ten in the challenge.
