Abstract

Comprehensive Chinese is a core subject among Mandarin skill subjects (listening, speaking, reading and writing). To evaluate student comprehension level, the class periodically organizes tests (mid and end semester tests). The quality of these tests is an important factor for the success of this subject teaching and learning process. This research aims to analyze Basic Comprehensive Chinese tests in Mandarin Department X University in the last three years, to know the consistency of the quality of the tests. This research applied analytical descriptive methods, collecting data on test types, the quantity of questions in each test, and test format standarization, refer to previous researches. The results of this research show that Basic Comprehensive Chinese tests in the last three years have already a good diversity, the quantity of questions in each test appropriate to the time allocating, and the format of the test has been uniform and consistent for the last three years.
