Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh tax avoidance terhadap cost of debt pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2011-2014. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria: (1) perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama tahun 2011-2014, (2) laporan keuangan perusahaan yang memiliki akhir tahun fiskal 31 Desember, (3) mata uang laporan keuangan dinyatakan dalam satuan rupiah, (4) perusahaan yang tidak mengalami kerugian, (5) perusahaan yang memiliki beban pajak, dan (6) perusahaan yang memiliki beban bunga. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tax avoidance berpengaruh terhadap cost of debt.
