Abstract
The use of computerized systems fan be found in many hotel's daily operational these days. However, many hotels still perform the process of check-in manually done by their front officers. This process results in additional cost for human labor as well as spending more time needed to serve customers in order to determine the appropriate room for them. In this paper, we propose a self check-in module that can automatically allocate rooms for their guests. We use genetic algorithms to determine the optimum room given to guests based on room type, proximity of each booked rooms, and the allotment and availability of each room types.
