Abstract
The purpose of this research is to identify prosocial motive degree of the tutors in Faculty of Medicine at "X" University, Bandung. Prosocial motive is a motive that helps people who have difficulties in understanding course materials. Prosocial motives test is a semi-projective test, revealing 9 story items that consist of a dilemma situation that will be perceived by the respondents and stimulate the emergence of some of the psychological aspects of the unconscious. The research sample consists of 17 individuals between the age of 19-21. The study employs frequency distributions for analyzing data. The outcome indicates that 52.9% of the tutor shows mid-level prosocial motive and 47.1% shows high-level prosocial motive. Elements of perception of the situation prosocial values indicate a difference, especially in tutor with moderate prosocial motives. Elements of empathy from tutor with high prosocial motives, most of them have moderate degree of empathy. Tutor with moderate prosocial motives, almost all have low empathy.
