Abstract
Control activities are activities that must be done by each company to achieve corporate objectives. One of them is controlling the supply of raw materials. The problem is how to control the supply of raw materials to support the effectiveness of the company's production. The author has a hypothesis as follows: "Control of supply of good raw material, can support the effectiveness of production". The purpose of this research is to find out the problems companies face in controlling the supply of raw materials and to determine the effect of raw material inventory control on the effectiveness of production. Research object of this thesis is three companies in the area of Bandung. From this research, it is known that the raw material inventory control can be seen in terms of controlling the environment, estimates of risk, control activities, information and communications, and adequate monitoring. Similarly, the effectiveness of production can be measured from the preparation of plant equipment, handling of goods, maintenance, procurement of raw materials, and provision of adequate manpower. The results of this study indicate that the raw material inventory control has a significant influence on the effectiveness of production.
