Abstract
Rapid Reader™ Pasirkaliki, located at Jl Pasirkaliki No 143 Bandung, is an effective English course for children based on Phonic Method. In running its administration, Rapid Reader™ Pasirkaliki still uses Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to store and operate its data. However, this kind of manual operation causes some problems, such as data redundancy, ineffective update, etc. And since Rapid Reader™ Pasirkaliki has expanded its business with an increasing number of students and activities, writer provides a solution to convert the manual operation to a web-based computer application system. The new application is designed to be simple, user-friendly, and web- based. It is intended mainly to improve administrative works where staffs can easily add, delete, view, and edit students’ data, students’ attendance, class schedule, etc. Not only that, this web-based system will publicize the company’s profile and registration information to interested customers as well as to provide registered parents with up-to-date information about the upcoming events and their children’s progress anywhere and anytime. Therefore, this new web-based application will prepare Rapid Reader™ Pasirkaliki to compete in this globalization era while at the same time show that English is easy and fun.
