Abstract

In this research, a trial of training module design was given to faculty of psychology students at X University, Bandung. The main purpose of this training module design, which was held for two days, was to increase the knowledge about their occupational future orientation. The sample of this research was students from faculty of psychology at X University in Bandung who had inadequate knowledge about their occupational future orientation that were also willing to join the training. In evaluating the result of this training was used the method of pre-test and post-test; therefore, this method would let to know about the increased knowledge of their occupational future orientation. Aside of the pre and post-test method, the participants’ reaction was also evaluated. Based on the Wilcoxon statistic data processing over the outcome of pre-test and the post-test, has been found that there was increased knowledge about occupational future orientation of the participants of the training. Therefore, the conclusion from this research was, that in general, this training module design about occupational future orientation received positive reaction from the students participating in the training. This training module design can actually increase participants’ knowledge about their occupational future orientation. To be specific, the Motivation, Planning, and Evaluation sessions from this training module design can increase the knowledge about aspects of occupational future orientation of the students. In the end, there were some suggestions given for this research; first, the Motivation session should add more detail description about the occupations. Second, for the planning session, the content about constructing plans to achieve a goal should also be given in more detail. Lastly, in the evaluation session, the written task should be given more time.
